One Place’s Foundations for Resilience program provides nonprofit and for-profit organizations in Onslow County with customized personal and professional growth opportunities and skill building. Research shows that a positive work environment greatly impacts an organization’s success, which is why Foundations for Resilience now includes The Energy Bus Training Program.

What is The Energy Bus?

The Energy Bus is a training program that teaches you how to harness the power of positive thinking through a fictional story, real life examples, and interactive modules. Inevitably, we will all face challenges, whether that be at home, on a team, or in a company. The Energy Bus teaches us the 10 secrets for approaching life and work with positive thinking that allows us to overcome negativity, challenges and be successful (www.TheEnergyBus.com, 2023). You will leave this training with real and actionable steps you can immediately put into practice in your life, work, team and organization.

10 Principles of The Energy Bus (www.TheEnergyBus.com, 2023):

  1. You are the Driver
  2. Desire, Vison and Focus move your bus in the right direction
  3. Fuel your ride with positive energy
  4. Invite people on your bus and share your vision for the road ahead
  5. Don’t waste your energy on those who do not get on your bus
  6. Post a sign that says “ No energy vampires allowed” on your bus
  7. Enthusiasm attracts more passengers and energizes them during the ride
  8. Love your passengers
  9. Drive with purpose
  10. Have fun and enjoy the ride

What can it do for you?

The Energy Bus can help your team discover:

  • The benefits of being a positive leader and team member
  • How to significantly improve employee engagement
  • The guidance to create a personal vision and team vision
  • Practical strategies to improve communication, relationships and teamwork
  • How to implement real strategies to stay positive in the face of change, challenges and adversity
