Our programs and initiatives serve all children in our community – from connecting new community members with high-quality preschool programs and providing free books to offering professional development opportunities for early childhood educators and much more.

 

Preschool Programs

One Place administers two preschool programs at no cost to eligible families in Onslow County: North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten for 4-year-olds and Three School for 3- and 4-year-olds. Parents and caregivers can apply directly through our website.

Infant/Toddler Programs

Our Early Care & Education Programs serve children and families during the First 2,000 Days when critical brain development occurs. Our range of programs ensure families have access to quality early child care and prepare children for success in school and beyond.

Child Care

Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) works to educate parents and caregivers about high-quality licensed and regulated early education centers and family child care homes and provides information about financial resources to offset the cost of high-quality early care and education for eligible families. Free Books & Literacy Programs

Our Early Literacy and Learning Program is dedicated to providing books to children, educational resources for parents and early educators, and opportunities for Onslow County as a whole to benefit from these resources and offer ways to become involved in establishing a generation of readers.

Parent Resources

Access numerous family resources and services through the NCCARE360 website. One Place also partners with the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), which helps families with the skills to raise healthy, happy, and resilient children through virtual modules.

Military Family Resources

Onslow County is home to a large number of military families and children. Because military children often face a distinctive set of challenges, we support all members of our military with access to important resources to help build resilience, stability, and family connection.

Training Info & Registration

Early childhood professionals can participate in training and coursework to Increase their skills and knowledge and complete professional development requirements.
