For more than two decades, One Place has helped children and families in Onslow County find hope and healing. Throughout 2021, we focused our efforts on expanding our reach and connecting even more children and families with the resources, mental health services, and support they need to thrive.

In the fall of 2021, several milestone moments occurred in One Place’s history including the launch of the Every Child, One Hope, One Place Annual Fund. The Annual Fund will help us embody our mission of offering hope and healing as we work to prevent child abuse and neglect, connect local children and families with resources, and provide programs to build mental and emotional strength and resilience.

Q: What is the Every Child, One Hope, One Place Annual Fund?

A: Our Annual Fund provides operational funding that helps us achieve our mission of offering hope and healing to the children and families of Onslow County.

Q: How will my donation to the Every Child, One Hope, One Place Annual Fund make a difference?

A: Donations to the Annual Fund will be spent in three critical areas:

    • Strengthening Children:  We provide early education programs that support a child’s healthy development. For children who have been hurt by abuse or other adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), our multidisciplinary team helps children cope with their trauma and gain the support they need to grow and thrive.
    • Connecting Families: When new families move to Onslow County—particularly incoming military families—they’re faced with a new set of challenges. From finding the right child care program to helping military families settle in our community, we provide resources and tools to help families become confident and empowered.
    • Ending Child Abuse: We aim to end child abuse and neglect in Onslow County. To achieve this, all of our programs are designed to serve as a protective factor for children and families. When children are hurt through abuse or neglect, our Child Advocacy Center provides hope and healing through comprehensive services from a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Q: What’s the best way to give to the Every Child, One Hope, One Place Annual Fund?

A: Your gift to the Every Child, One Hope, One Place Annual Fund makes a life-changing difference in the lives of children and families in Onslow County. If you’re ready to transform the future of our community, give your gift online now.

Q: What else do I need to know?

A: Your support and contributions have a tremendous impact on the lives of children and families in our community. As we all work together to make Onslow County better for children, your belief in our mission is instrumental.
