The Onslow County Partnership for Children is pleased to announce that their organization will now be known as One Place. Established in 1998, the nonprofit connects families in and around Onslow County with services and resources, including referrals to high-quality child care, early educator coaching and training, preschool programs, parenting supports, and child abuse prevention and intervention. The name “One Place” represents the organization being the one place that families can go to be connected with the resources they need.

“As we step into our 23rd year connecting children and families to resources, our new name and rebranding process has been energizing,” said Dawn Rochelle, chief executive officer of One Place. “Knowing that families search for the One Place that can give answers when they have a need for their child leads us forward in continued development of programs that create hope, because children are no small matter.”

The new logo, which replaces the previous one dating back five years, incorporates a sun icon in the shape of concentric circles, representing the ripple effect of how helping a family can make waves of change in their lives and in the community over time. The circular icon also symbolizes a warm embrace and the creation of a safe space. The new tagline accompanying the new name is “creating hope for families.”

“Hope symbolizes the thought that investing in children will improve the quality of life in our community,” said Chief Mike Yaniero, director of safety for the City of Jacksonville and board chair of One Place. “We are excited about the future of Onslow County and want to bring that hope to families through the many services that One Place offers.”

As part of the rebranding done by Yellow Duck Marketing, One Place launched a newly designed website, which helps connect families and the community with resources such as early educator training, finding high-quality child care, applying for preschool and Early Head Start programs, and registering for free books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. In addition, the redesigned website provides insight and information about the problems the organization is trying to solve, and their approach to solving these problems.
